Colin McKee, Jimmy Mills, Josh Thorpe & Bryan Goldsby celebrate another victory!
It was a great weekend for the fighters and fans of Port City MMA! Josh Thorpe got things started for the team on Friday night with a big win over XFO welterweight champion Ryan Williams of the Midwest Training Center on a big show in Columbus, GA. Josh used his wrestling skills to defend the takedown and batter his opponent with his boxing skills. He earned the decision in a hard fought battle.
The guys kept it going on Saturday night at the UEP show at the Daphne Civic Center. David Wright used his wrestling skills to hit a big throw and pound out a tko stopage in round 1 over an opponent from Pensacola.
Randy James was dominate in winning his pro debut with a rear naked choke in round 1. James dropped his opponent with a hook then jumped on his back to secure the choke.
Jason Knight fought a tough fight in the main event of the evening. He was able to secure a triangle choke in round 2 to pull out the victory against a super tough opponent from Tampa, FL.
Great weekend of action and the guys all fought with skill and class. Great job guys!
