Another incredible show from Atlas Fights took place this past weekend at the IP Casino in Biloxi, MS. The Atlas Fights group have established themselves as the best professional MMA show on the Gulf Coast. The fighters from Port City MMA represented the gym with class and skill on the card. First up was Blake Singley to fight a really tough striker from Florida. Despite Blake's opponent having a ton of experience he wanted nothing to do with Blake on the feet. Blake defended well from the bottom and had a couple or really nice reversals. In the second round Blake locked up an armbar and showed a lot of skill on the ground with the finish.
Josh Thorpe was the main event of the night against the champion Matt McCook from Miami. Josh dominated the action throught the fight on route to a unanimous decision victory. Josh won every round on every scorecard. The fight sets up a rematch for the Atlas FIghts Featherweight title on August 14 at the IP Casino! Don't miss this highly anticipated rematch!
Colin McKee's fight was cancelled at the last minute when the comission discovered that his opponent David Hullet from Extreme Couture in Las Vegas was actually suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Comission. This is terrible for Colin who trained & dieted very had for this number 1 contenders matchup. Colin does pick up the number 1 contender status and will fight for the Atlas Fights Welterweight Title at the August 14 show.
